ThermalHeart+®️ components

The ThermalHEART® polyamide barrier insulates the frame of the window system, separating warm and cold areas. Using clean, modern lines, these frames provide high performance in extreme weather conditions. ThermalHEART® frames deliver almost double the thermal performance of standard aluminium windows and doors1

Explore ranges

The ATS-Architectural Thermal Spacer® reduces the transfer of hot and cold temperatures. Argon gas creates an additional barrier to heat loss and improves insulation. Solux-E® is a low emissivity (Low-E) coating that reduces heat loss in winter and over-heating in summer. It protects your home's interior while providing a similar clarity to clear glass.

Explore state-of-the-art glass

The Centrafix® installation method recesses the joinery into the building wall, aligning the insulation elements - wall, window frame, glazing – to prevent cold air from circulating around the frame. This New Zealand designed innovation increases the thermal performance in your home by over 20%2 (see here for technical details).

1 Comparison figures are based on complete thermal modelling of an average house lot of Metro Series ThermalHEART® products with The AGP System® double glazing using the WEERS modelling methodology. The benchmark figures were calculated by modelling the same average house lot of products using the equivalent non-thermally broken products glazed with standard double glazing. A “standard aluminium window or door” refers to a non-thermally broken aluminium frame with standard double glazing.

Centrafix® comparison figures are based on complete thermal modelling of an average house lot of products installed in 90mm timber framing. The standard installation benchmark was calculated by modelling the same house lot of comparable products using a typical E2/AS1 cavity construction installation on 90mm timber framing.

Revitalise your home with new windows and doors

Are your windows and doors are letting in a draught, not locking properly, water damaged, noisy, or not as aesthetic as you'd like?

Whether you're undertaking a full home renovation or prioritising changes to your home that will have the biggest impact, updating the windows and doors in your existing home is a proven way to increase the comfort, aesthetics, and value of your home.

Say goodbye to the poor performance and on-going maintenance of your aging joinery. New windows and doors can change the way light, sound, and fresh air move in and out of your home.

When it comes to upgrading the windows and doors in your home, there are two options we can custom make for your needs, each with their own benefits.

Update Options

Replacement windows and doors

Replacement windows and doors

Existing joinery is removed entirely and a new window or door and framing structure is installed allowing you to completely change the colour, style and configuration.
Replacement windows may be a good option if:

  • You’d like to completely change the size and shape of your windows and doors
  • Your window frames or sills are in poor condition or show signs of rot

Insert windows

Insert windows

In this method, a new window is inserted into the existing timber window frame allowing you to update the colour and configuration of your windows while retaining the character of your home with minimal disruption to your home.
Insert windows may be a good option if:

  • Your wooden joinery is a bit draughty, stiff to open and close but in reasonable condition
  • You’d like to retain the existing character of your house
  • You’d like to improve the function and thermal performance of your joinery

Update for a warmer, healthier, more efficient home

Updating your windows and doors is an opportunity to bring the thermal performance of your joinery up to current building code standards and enjoy a healthier home.

A healthy home is warm, comfortable, and cost efficient to run with minimal impact on the environment, not to mention your family will experience greater wellbeing and productivity.

In order to achieve a healthy home, thermally efficient design and product choice are important; consider thermally efficient windows and doors like:

Choose the right colour and surface finish for you

It is important that you choose the right product for the right application to ensure the life of your surface finish, and in some cases that your windows and doors are covered under their warranty.

Anodising

Anodised finishing is a highly popular choice for architectural projects, and is a durable and colour fast technology that offers an alternative to powdercoating.

As for colours and film thicknesses, there are plenty of options: Silver, in 12 and 25 microns. Bronze in light, medium or dark, 12 and 25 microns. Black, 25 microns only. Champagne, in 25 microns only.

For properties in coastal, industrial or other corrosive environments, 25 microns is recommended, and may even be required to qualify for a warranty. (Note: the anodised coating has a 10-year warranty for 12 micron anodising, and 20 years for 25 microns.)

Note: when you are choosing your aluminium joinery colour, always assess the colour in natural light using an aluminium colour swatch. We are able to provide you with the colour swatch samples upon request.
Anodising is unavailable in Residential ThermalHeart+®.
